How to paint a Ceramic Plate?
63
ceramicware are now available everywhere which was very familiarly linked with the country name china.Normally comes with attractive colours as well as designs. For our purpose of painting we will go for a plain white ceramic plate. The picture shown here is a pure white ceramic plate with one gold colour line which is near to the edge.
To trace or copy anything we will use carbon sheets. In this case we will use yellow carbon sheet to trace design to ensure no black or blue colours will fade the white ceramic.
Like painting any object,we require the neccessary things like paint and brushes. Here the only difference is the paint which we are using here is the Ceramic paint.(your choice of colours),brushes(in different shapes to draw very thin as well as thick lines and broad parts),Ceramic plate(your choice of shape),palette, yellow carbon sheet(to trace the design), design pattern(which you want to draw in the plate),transparent tape.
The steps to follow:
1.Common with painting in any material, first clean the plate with mild soap and water.
2.Dry the plate with clean clotha and make sure the plate does not contain any moisture by keeping it for some time in the air.
3.Trace the design of your choice with the help of yellow carbon sheet by fixing the design as well as the yellow carbon sheet in the ceramic plate without any chance for moving.
4.After tracing down the picture, make a step to colouring the design with your imagination with the use of ceramic colours and brushes.
5.The palette will be very helpful to create more interesting colours with your magical imagination by mixing the ceramic colours.
6.After completing the designing process it is time for to wait.Keep it in a place separately without any disturbance until the colours will settle.
7.Wait for atleat 2-3 days or until it dries completely. If you are in a rush and can't want for 2 days, there is another one option which will be easier to do.Dry the ceramic plate in a microwave.
Tip:Do not add water to the ceramic paint which will result in damage in the ceramic paint and will give you the result not worthy for your hardwork.
